In Her Strength began in 2020 in response to the pandemic and increased reports of domestic abuse. It is a programme of activity that pays women with an experience of homelessness to engage in training which results in a written monologue.
These workshops have run successfully online for a UK wide cohort 2020-2021 and in partnership with DMU Leicester 2022.
The work in Leicester has been supported by the Leicester Curve, The Y Theatre, Action Homelessness & the Bridge.
The work in 2020-21 was supported by Arts Council England, Camden People’s Theatre, Applecart Arts, Clean Break & Cardboard Citizens.
